Overview
Schengen short-stay visa when the purpose of
the trip is tourism; visiting relatives and friends;
cultural; or sports (less than 90 days
educational/sports courses) within the Schengen Area.
Visa Fees
The Revised visa fee and BLS service charge are as
follows :

Note Exemption of Visa Fee for a child is
applicable only in the case of Short Term category,
if
the child's age is less than 6 years at the date of
submission.
BLS International Service charge
Applicants applying at the Spanish visa application
Centre
shall be levied a service charge of SGD 25.60 /-
(Includes
GST@9%) payable in cash. Children under 6 are exempted
from
service charge.

Documents Required
Travel Insurance for Schengen Visa
Travel Insurance certificate must be submitted at the visa
application center as it is a mandatory requirement for applicants
travelling to Spain. You may get your travel insurance from any
authorized insurance company or you may click here if you wish to avail this
optional service now.

All applicants must come in person to the Visa
Application Centre. Upon consideration of the non
exhaustive list of the following documents, further
supportive documentation may be requested in each
individual case.
You are informed that the lack of any of the documents
below, might result in the refusal of the visa
application.
- Schengen Visa application form: The application must be completed, dated and
signed with Blue ink.
- ONE photograph (glued to the application): the photo must be recent (4,5cm x
3,5cm), clearly showing the face, the forehead hairline and ears on a white background.
- Passport (Original and Photocopy of the identity pages). The passport must be
valid for a minimum of 3 months from the date of completion of their stay in the Schengen territory,
with at least two blank pages available to stamp the visa.
Photocopy of previous Schengen visas within last 3 years and other third countries
valid visas in the last year if available.
- Singaporean IC (e.g. employment card/ S pass/ Dependant pass/ Student pass/ Work
permit/ PR card). Original and photocopy including Validity page/Re-entry permit copy if
applicant is a PR. This document must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended
date of departure from the Schengen territory.
In the case that current Singaporean IC is in process of renovation, proof from MOM or corresponding
Singaporean authority must be provided.
- A booking for a round-trip airline ticket or printout of a confirmed reservation
with the applicant's name (final destination must be outside Schengen territory).
- A travel itinerary including hotel reservation or similar confirmation of accommodation for the
entire trip in the Schengen area.
- Travel/medical insurance: covering medical expenses, repatriation and evacuation
for medical reasons and repatriation of mortal remains for at least 30,000 EUR or its equivalent in
SGD, per each stated benefit and valid for the entire Schengen area for the duration of the
applicant's planned stay. COPY OF THE PAGES OF YOUR POLICY WHERE YOUR NAME, GEOGRAPHICAL AREA AND
PERIOD OF COVERAGE IS STATED ALONG WITH THE SCHEDULE OF BENEFITS AND AMOUNT COVERED must be
submitted.

- A letter of invitation from the applicant’s business partner
in Spain
stating the purpose and duration of the business trip. (Official letter, stamped, registered number
and signed)
If the applicant is attending a conference/fair, confirmation letter of conference/fair
participation and receipt of registration.
- Employees: Updated guarantee letter from the applicant’s employer, stating the
details of the applicant, employment duration, designation, purpose and duration of trip. When
applicable, the company should confirm taking full responsibility for applicant's expenses and
medical insurance. (The letter has to include the insurance policy number if applicant's name does
not appear on the insurance policy).
Self employed: Applicants who have their own business must provide an updated copy of business
registration (ACRA Singapore).
- Proof of the applicant’s financial circumstances by means of the latest 06 months
of bank book statements, or bank account statements or fixed deposit statements (Transactions
included). The NAME of the account holder must be the applicant's name and has to appear in the
statements. Singaporean bank accounts in either SGD; EUR; or USD will be accepted
Photo Specifications
Note: We regret we cannot accept photographs that do not meet these requirements

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:
- Taken against a light background (white or off-white) so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
- Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
- Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
- Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
- Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.
Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available at the centre..
Processing Time
The processing time of the visa applications is minimum of 15 working days.
BLS work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa
and how long it will take to process your application, as this is entirely the prerogative of the
Embassy of Spain in Singapore. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further
requested additional documentation in support of the same.
Visa Applications for certain nationals will require
an
additional security check that may result in longer
visa
processing time. Check the
Annex
16 for the list of these countries.
